im worried that i'm gesturing vaguely at a point point i dont want to make because the most useful tools at my disposal were not built for this and people might mistake the tool for the communication
for my part good and evil dont exist in any external ontology they are terms of convenience for a subjective state of moral approbation or disapprobation as a radical ontogical nominalist i consider basically every concept we interact with to be a useful fiction
at some point we make the move from calling a process simply automatic to ascribing intent and essential moral character and from the perspective of improving the world ive never seen the justification for that move
obviously some degree of circumlocution is always necessary to try and do due diligence in pinning down a concept to a term if reality is complicated then it is ultimately only to our detriment to subscribe to binaristic and essentializing terms like good and evil
its clearly contradictory to our experience which is why it feels so bad to hold these beliefs that we cant back up
trust me as someone whos done a lot of depressed lying in bed not doing any of the things i nominally want to do i know about the overdetermination of reason by emotion

a dark theme would be wicked
